Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on an image to emerge ahead of their Europa Conference League clash on Thursday. 

The north London side face Stade Rennais in the first of their Europa Conference League group stage games and it seems they could be boosted by the return of Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn was absent for the 3-0 drubbing on the weekend against Crystal Palace after suffering an ankle injury during the international break with the Netherlands.

However, an image of the 23-year-old from Wednesday’s training has emerged on Twitter and fans shared their delight as The Spurs Express and The Spurs Web relayed the photo:

The Dutchman featured in the three opening Premier League games of the season before sustaining the injury and has been captured by the Spurs media team boarding their flight to France ahead of the clash.

Although Bergwijn is yet to open his account for Spurs this season, it is clear to see these fans are delighted to see him back in training.
