A lot of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger following the latest update ahead of their next Premier League clash. 

The Magpies welcome Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United to St. James’ Park on Friday night and it has been confirmed referee Mike Dean will be officiating the game.

Dean has already refereed three Premier League games this season in which he has shown 11 yellow cards and pointed to the penalty spot on one occasion (via Transfermarkt).

Toon fans flocked to the tweet from the Newcastle account relaying the news to share their frustration with Dean being announced as the referee for the game against the Whites.

Both sides are looking for their first win of the season, however, it is apparent this news has not provided these Toon fans with any optimism ahead of Friday’s game.
