Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have shared their concerns on Twitter at news to emerge of Emerson Royal’s call up to the latest Brazil squad.

On Friday, it was announced the 22-year-old would be meeting up with his countrymen in October as Tite’s Brazil face Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay in their latest World Cup qualifiers.

Who should start at right-back for Spurs?

Tottenham’s final signing of the summer transfer window has made two appearances in the Premier League for Spurs since arriving, with both ending in 3-0 defeats.

The Lilywhites have already suffered from their players being out of action due to quarantine rules after playing in South America, however, reports suggest those regulations are set to be relaxed.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

Another South American international break. Let’s hope common sense prevails and there is a way for our players to not miss matches with Tottenham.”

“Is Emerson going to have the same problems as Romero, Lo Celso and Sanchez?”
“Not this again”
“NOOOOOOOOO”
“Terrible news”

Spurs face Arsenal on the weekend and it is yet to be seen as to whether Japhet Tanganga will return to the side ahead of Emerson following his one-game suspension.

Although it is not yet known as to whether the Brazilian will become Tottenham’s starting right-back, it is clear these fans do not want to be stung again in losing players to the quarantine restrictions.
