Rodrigo has entered a make-or-break season at Leeds United, according to JustJoe Football Show presenter Joe Wainman.

The Spain international, who was born in Brazil, joined the Whites for a club record fee of £30million last year.

Rodrigo made the move to Elland Road having scored 59 goals in 220 appearances for Spanish outfit Valencia.

However, the 30-year-old has struggled to carry that form into the Premier League and found the back of the net just seven times for Marcelo Bielsa’s Yorkshire side.

Rodrigo has been presented with opportunities by Bielsa and claimed a place in the starting line-up on three occasions this season but has failed to score or grab any assists so far.

Former All Leeds TV anchorman Wainman believes Rodrigo, who previously experienced English football by featuring for Bolton Wanderers 21 times earlier in his career, has entered the last chance saloon and needs to have a season to remember if he is to get all of the Whites fans onside.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

He told TIF: “The jury’s still out and I think a lot of Leeds fans expected him to have a much better season.

“There’s still a long way to go this season and Bielsa is a massive fan of his. The jury is still out and, for me, it’s now or never.

“Next season, do we persist with something that is clearly not working? It’s now or never, this season, for me.”
