Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims surrounding the future of Japhet Tanganga following comments made by his agent.
The 22-year-old stole the show on Sunday during Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Manchester City, as he won the Man of the Match award and earned some incredibly high praise from Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville in the process.
But according to this agent, his playing time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be about to change. Roberto De Fanti was speaking in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb and explained that there were some teams that have taken a shining to the young defender, hinting that he could possibly leave the club this summer on loan (as translated by @HotspurRelated):
“We have received many proposals for loan because Tottenham firmly believes in the player and does not want a sale. There are still days before the market closes, we will see what happens.”
These comments were passed on to fans by the social media page, and it’s fair to say the comments did not go down well:
“Imagine loaning him out and stuck with Aurier and Doherty all season”
Does Tanganga need to leave on loan?
Yes
No
After the performance that he just put in, it’s no surprise to see fans desperate to cling on to him, he could very well be a crucial player this season if that first performance is anything to go by.
