A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have vented their rage on Twitter following a claim to emerge regarding the future of their midfielder, Harry Winks.

According to ESPN, the 25-year-old midfielder is hoping to stay at the club this summer and fight for his place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI.

The report suggests there was interest in a potential summer swoop for Winks’ services from both Aston Villa and Everton.

However, the Englishman is now understood to be looking to push on from his start in Tottenham’s Europa Conference League game against Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday night.

Spurs fans flocked to a tweet from The Spurs Web relaying ESPN’s claim to show their frustration at the idea of Winks remaining a Tottenham player.

What exactly did these Spurs fans have to say?

“It just keeps getting worse”

“This is literally the worst news of the window. Just leave!!”
“Ruined my Friday”
“My day is just getting worse”
“I feel sick, Jar Jar Winks is staying at my club”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”
“Pain”

Winks did not feature in the Premier League opener against Manchester City last Sunday with the 25-year-old demoted to the bench as Oliver Skipp marked his return to north London with a start.

Despite having spent his full professional career with Spurs, it seems apparent these Tottenham fans do not want to see another season of Winks at their club.
