A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted positively on Twitter to the latest transfer links to Denis Zakaria.

With reports suggesting that Spurs are willing to sell both Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko this summer, bringing in someone with Champions League experience like Zakaria may be a good addition.

According to Bild (via Sport Witness), Spurs are one of three clubs – alongside Arsenal and Everton – who are interested in the Swiss midfielder.

Are Tottenham a 'big club'?

Zakaria has been playing for Borussia Monchengladbach for the previous four seasons but with just one year left on his contract, the Bundesliga outfit may look to cash in on the midfielder this summer.

Many Spurs fans seem to be delighted on Twitter with this transfer link.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Would be a brilliant partner to Hojbjerg in the midfield, only has one year left on his contract if I’m not mistaken – great signing if we can get him”

“Huge signing if true”

“Alli Hojbjerg Zakaria The league is coming to N17”

“Would be a great signing wow”

“To replace Sissoko! 100% I approve”

I back this X100 as a Sissoko replacement not sure if he can play wide if needed like Moussa can, but have seen him fill in as auxiliary CB before and put in a solid game.”

“Him and HĂžjbjerg with Ndombele or Lo Celso and we are cooking”

“Yes yes 1000% yes!!!!”

The midfielder suffered a very serious last year which saw him miss a total of 21 games and a huge 246 days, but since then he has only missed two games for Gladbach and one of them was through the pandemic.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Spurs fans have already seen their club bring in Cristian Romero on a permanent basis and if they are targetting Zakaria, it would show that Nuno Espirito Santo wants to solidify the core of his squad with two defensively minded recruits, as well as Pierluigi Gollini on loan from Atalanta.
