Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser has told This is Futbol that Crystal Palace are actively looking to bring in another striker.

Patrick Vieira has already made three impressive permanent signings in Marc Guehi, Joachim Andersen, and Michael Olise, whilst youngster Conor Gallagher joined on loan for the season from Chelsea.

But the Frenchman hasn’t yet been able to bring in another striker despite Palace’s struggles in front of goal last season.

Palace scored just 41 times in the Premier League last term, with only Wolves, Brighton and Burnley scoring fewer of the teams to finish above the relegation-zone.

Crystal Palace fan? We bet you can't get 100% on this Palace 19/20 season quiz. We'll start off with an easy one... Which side did Palace face on the opening day of the 19/20 Premier League season?

Christian Benteke, who ended the season in red-hot goalscoring form, has recently penned a new deal, but the Eagles are yet to find the net in almost five hours of competitive action, with Vieira still looking for his first goal or victory in charge.

But Rosser is optimistic that Palace could still bring in a striker before the window slams shut on Tuesday:

“Speaking to people at the club, they want a couple more in. They are looking for one more striker, and Edouard from Celtic is one they like, and I think they like Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal, so I expect there to be some movement from that.”
