Chelsea could be a potential destination for Wolves’ Adama Traore this summer, Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield has hinted.

According to The Athletic, Wolves need to sell in order to spend in this transfer window and Traore could now be sold as a result.

The 25-year-old, who is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, is one player who probably has the potential to bring in quite a bit of money, while he also has just two years to run on his contract.

It makes him a candidate to be sold as Wolves look to generate funds, and Hatfield would not be surprised to see Chelsea be his destination based on what has been said.

“It’s an interesting position because clubs might be sniffing around and thinking they can maybe get him for cheaper than what he’s worth,” Hatfield told TIF. “In terms of a potential destination, I think Chelsea are the biggest one that we’ve seen linked.”

It would be interesting to see what Thomas Tuchel’s plans for Traore would be if the Spaniard did end up at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea look well equipped in the attacking positions with the likes of Mason Mount and Kai Havertz. Could a right wing-back role perhaps be a possibility?
