Spurs fans have been reacting to the latest news involving the football club as Heung-Min Son handed Tottenham a huge boost ahead of the new season.

This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account Last Word On Spurs relayed a claim from Korean publication The Korea Herald, which suggested that Son has not been named in the South Korea squad for the Olympics, despite Spurs giving permission for the 28-year-old to feature.

Spurs fans were quick to give their views on Son’s situation…

Judging by the reaction from Spurs fans, they are happy to hear the news that Son can concentrate on Spurs this summer and not go to the Olympics with South Korea.

Son has made almost 200 Premier League appearances for Spurs since joining in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee worth a reported £22m.

Son is clearly a national hero and playing in the Olympics may have been a huge thing for him, but with a new manager through the door at Spurs, it’s clear his club future is coming first this summer – which these fans are relieved about.
