Lots of Leeds United fans have been discussing a video involving Jamie Shackleton that recently emerged on social media.
The Whites recently played a pre-season friendly against Blackburn Rovers and the game ended 1-1. Blackburn had taken the lead but Pascal Struijk came up with the equaliser in the game.
Will Shackleton play regularly next season?
What did LUFC fans make of this video?
“Wow seemed like he had a great game. I like Shacks, give him more game time and he can become a massive future first-team player. Definitely got the ability and composure.“
“Needs to play this year.”
These Leeds fans seem pleased by Shackleton’s performance and some of them want to see him play regularly from the next season onwards.
Shackleton is only 21 and while he hadn’t played too often in the 2020/21 campaign, he featured more often in the Championship for the Whites. While he is a midfielder by trade, he can clearly play in a variety of positions, so that can perhaps increase his opportunities.
It shows that he might yet be in Marcelo Bielsa’s plans and he should take some confidence from having played against Blackburn.
