Many Celtic supporters have been discussing a news update about Ange Postecoglou that emerged on social media.
The Daily Record has recently reported about Celtic’s managerial situation, saying that while Celtic have agreed a compensation fee with Yokohama F Marinos for Ange Postecoglou, the Australian could face quarantine issues before he arrives.
He could spend about ten days in isolation and this will leave John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan with the players during pre-season. The new manager is likely to meet the players before they head to Wales for their pre-season training camp in July.
Will Postecoglou get appointed before pre-season games?
Yes
No
Postecoglou is expected to be given a say on his dugout team and he could be given access to those at Lennoxtown too.
“The thought of Kennedy and Strachan taking pre-season is soul-destroying however I would like to think that Ange will send all of his pre-season schedule to them to carry out.”
“22nd or 23rd his first day I’d guess. Which gives him 2 weeks to get players before qualifiers and a month and 8 days before the league season. 8 days under Kennedy and Strachan will be so depressing for the players.“
“Pretty shocking state of affairs. Sacked the last manager at least 3 months too late, but we finally did it nonetheless on 24th February. 3 months to put a plan in place – did nothing. Postecoglou had to arrive and begin his quarantine tonight to be at day 1 of pre-season.“
These Celtic fans don’t want Kennedy and Strachan to be taking charge of the club during pre-season.
Considering that it has been over a couple of months since the Hoops got rid of Neil Lennon and they’ve not appointed a new manager yet, fans are bound to be angry.
Kennedy’s record as Celtic manager wasn’t too impressive either last season and it may not fill fans with confidence. So bringing in a new manager as soon as possible should be Celtic’s priority. Perhaps only that could dissipate the anger amongst the fans.
