Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet from journalist Pete O’Rourke that emerged on social media.
O’Rourke recently posted an update about Celtic’s chase of Yokohama F Marinos boss Ange Postecoglou, confirming that the Hoops have agreed a compensation with the J-League club to make the Australian their next manager.
Do you expect Postecoglou to be appointed by next week?
Yes
No
This came after Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph had stated that Celtic were looking to agree a compensation fee for the former Australian national team manager, but they have applied for an exemption with UEFA for Postecoglou to be given the green light to manage in Europe as he has no UEFA Pro License.
O’Rouke’s update about the manager drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their opinion clear.
What did Celtic fans make of the news about Postecoglou?
“Hopefully that brings an end to this mess. Ange Postecoglou will bring entertaining football, so hopefully the board back him. FI source, so nothing confirmed by usual outlets.“
These Celtic fans seem pleased about this news and they seem excited about Postecoglou’s arrival.
The Australian likes to profess an attacking brand of football, which relies on building out from the back. He’s also flexible, when it comes to formations too. His Brisbane Roar side went on a 36-game unbeaten run and he’s done a very good job at Yokohama F Marinos too.
This clearly suggests that Postecoglou can certainly offer many things that Celtic fans can get excited about.
