Lots of Celtic supporters have been talking about the latest tweet from Anthony Joseph that concerned Diego Laxalt.

Joseph recently tweeted about the Uruguayan left-back, relaying information from Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia).

The journalist stated that Turkish giants Galatasaray are now ‘weighing up a move’ for Laxalt, who was on loan at Celtic for the 2020/21 campaign. Dinamo Moscow are also interested in the left-back, who is reportedly not part of Milan’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

The Rossoneri are looking to sell the player this summer so that they don’t lose him on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 when his contract expires.

During his time at Parkhead, Laxalt made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops and contributed to just one goal.

He did start off his stint at the club in a promising way, as he picked up some impressive ratings. But judging by WhoScored’s metrics, his performances became rather inconsistent as time went on during the campaign.

Keeping those inconsistencies in mind, Celtic have perhaps made the right decision to not sign Laxalt permanently.
