Former Premiership star Craig Moore has recently revealed details of a chat that he had with potential new Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.

Moore played for the Australian national team well as Celtic’s Old Firm rivals during his time in the Premiership. He’s even plied his trade under Postecoglou as a player.

The 45-year-old appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the Go Radio Football Show and Postecoglou was the prime topic of discussion. He was asked whether he’s had any conversations with the Australian about the speculation around Celtic.

Are you confident that Celtic will pull off the Postecoglou deal?

The ex-Australia international stated that he did talk to the Yokohama F Marinos boss over text and he hopes that things turn out smoothly for him.

He stated: “I’ve had some conversations. Not a telephone conversation, but we’ve had some texts going back and forward about the scenario that hopefully for Ange, will play out in a successful way.”

TIF Thoughts on Postecoglou’s move…

The Australian has already commented about the speculation around the Celtic job, saying that he has stopped thinking about the ‘what ifs’ in football a time ago.

While this showed that he was perhaps dismissive of things, Moore’s comments show that perhaps, he is seeking information about the job and the role that he’s said to be in talks with. So maybe, Celtic fans should be optimistic about this move.
