West Ham United insider @ExWHUemployee has been sharing some details on the possibility of the east London club potentially making a move for Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe this summer.

This comes after Ex co-hosted a recent episode of The West Ham Way Podcast where he spoke about a variety of topics concerning David Moyes’ side.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

On the subject of Tuanzebe, Ex had this to say about the player.

He said: “It’s been confirmed that their defender Axel Tuanzebe is available on loan. Now, I do know that David Moyes likes him, so he could be someone that we potentially look to loan with a clause to buy if we don’t get our other targets.”

Tuanzebe, who is a product of Manchester United’s youth academy, has made just 37 senior appearances for the Red Devils (per Transfermarkt).

The 23-year-old made his senior debut for the Old Trafford side back in January 2017 under former Man United manager Jose Mourinho.

TIF Thoughts on Ex’s comments on Tuanzebe…

With Tuanzebe only making nine appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the Premier League this season, it would be safe to assume that he isn’t exactly a crucial figure in their squad.

Would you like to see West Ham make a move for Tuanzebe this summer?

In our view, with West Ham set to say goodbye to defender Fabian Balbuena when his current contract at the London Stadium runs out at the end of the month, then perhaps signing Tuanzebe, who is currently valued at £7.2 million, as his replacement would be a good idea if he would be guaranteed regular playing time with the Hammers.

With recent reports claiming that Tuanzebe could well be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer, this could perhaps give West Ham the opportunity to swoop in and sign him.
