Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his latest YouTube video to discuss Tottenham Hotspur’s ongoing search for a new permanent manager.
One name which has been heavily linked with a stunning return back to the north London club is their former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine is currently managing Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain having joined back in January of this year.
However, despite being sacked by Spurs in November 2019, Pochettino was reportedly in talks with Daniel Levy over a potential return to Tottenham.
Discussing the club’s ongoing search for their permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho, Gold had the following to say on Pochettino’s chances of returning to Spurs.
“I understand, you know, digging around again today, the Poch door is closed. It is, anyone hoping maybe for a last-gasp turnaround, from what I’m told, it’s closed now. And that, you know, Spurs have to move on.”

It seems to have been a bit of a strange saga going on with Pochettino and Tottenham over the course of the last week.
Reports suggested the two parties were in talks over a return and Pochettino was wanting to leave PSG in order to join Tottenham.
However, it was also suggested he would have to publicly show his desire to leave with PSG denying the rumours of his ambition to leave.
But we didn’t hear anything from Pochettino and as a result, it looks like Antonio Conte is set to become the next Spurs manager.
