Former Tottenham Hotspur star Graham Roberts insist there is next to no chance of Harry Winks leaving the club to join Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been linked with a shock bid for the Spurs midfielder.
Winks endured a terrible season under the management of Jose Mourinho, as he struggled to actually make his way into the first-team.
Should Spurs sell Winks this summer?
He made just nine starts in the Premier League, but completed the 90 minutes just three times under his management in 2020/21.
It would be a shock, then, if United were to follow up their reported interest with a formal bid for Winks this summer.
And Roberts believes that the rumours are coming because of the player’s agent, who may be attempting to gauge interest in his client.
Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, he said: “It’s paper talk. It’s Harry Winks’ agent being a nuisance, that’s what that is, stirring the trouble up.”
