Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about all things related to Tottenham Hotspur on Matt Hayes’ latest YouTube video.

Earlier this month, Fabio Paratici was announced as the new director of football at the north London club as their search for a new manager continues to draw out.

Aside from their hunt for Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor, since the arrival of the former Juventus man, Spurs have been linked with a number of current Serie A players, including Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli.

However, speaking in the video, Romano insisted Paratici will be targeting players from across Europe rather than just players he is aware of from his time at Juventus.

He said: “He’s always thinking about looking [for] players, flying around Europe to see new players, new talents, but also to value the players in the top leagues.

“So I can tell you 100% that Fabio Paratici will be so open and won’t only be focusing on Serie A. Of course, he has an eye on Serie A because he knows the league so well. But he will be really, really open.”

TIF Thoughts on Tottenham’s expected rebuild…

After a disappointing 2020/21 campaign, it may be expected that Spurs undergo a rebuild this summer which will include a number of their current roster moving on to new clubs.

It has been reported Paratici has already begun to tell current individuals and agents at Spurs they should consider finding themselves a new club, however, the names of those players are still unknown.

One player we think Spurs should look to sell is Moussa Sissoko, who has just five goals to his name in 202 games, but it may be difficult to offload him given his £80k-per-week contract.

It remains to be seen as to what the future holds for Spurs and their current players, but it does seem that judging by Romano’s words, change is certainly on the horizon.
