Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts has been sharing his praise for fellow Whites teammate Raphinha.
This comes after Roberts made a guest appearance on a recent edition of The Beautiful Game Podcast, where he discussed a range of topics about himself and Leeds.
On the subject of Raphinha, Roberts had this to say about the winger.
He said: “He’s not just a gameday player, he’s a player that I really like because apart from just being Brazilian and having that flair, his work rate is ridiculous.
“He’s one of [those] people that if, say we’re doing a shooting practice and everyone’s just having a laugh, if he misses one, or gets a technique wrong, he’s angry at himself.
“Some of the stuff he’s been doing is just outrageous. He’s Brazilian, he just enjoys playing football, it [doesn’t] matter where he is, he just enjoys playing football.”
Leeds signed Raphinha back in the previous summer transfer window from French club Stade Rennais for a fee of £17m.
Since then, the 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £22.5 million, has made 31 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, in which he has managed to score six goals and provide nine assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Given how Raphinha ended his debut season at Elland Road as Leeds’ highest-rated player with an overall season rating of 7.22/10 according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why Roberts has been so impressed with the winger based on what he’s delivered on the pitch as well as what Roberts sees from him in training.
