Sheffield United fans have been acknowledging a post by the club’s official Twitter account as the club have returned for preseason.

Luke Freeman spent last season out on loan at Nottingham Forest but has returned to the Blades for pre-season.

This is a boost for fans who reacted to the image, as they were left buzzing as Freeman remains at the club for now, with Nottingham Forest deciding not to exercise the option-to-buy clause in his loan after the player’s season was plagued by injuries

Judging by the responses to the tweet, many fans are hoping that Slavisa Jokanovic has the 29-year-old in his plans for next season.

The attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing, played 23 games for Nottingham Forest last season, featuring in the starting line-up 16 times.

Despite this, judging by the replies to the tweet, Freeman is rated highly by Sheffield United fans who would be happy to see the 29-year-old involved under Jokanovic this season.
