The 29-year-old’s deal at Elland Road expires in less than ten days, and it seems as if he has plenty of offers on the table.
Wainman believes that Alioski is looking for a big contract and a big payday before he retires.
He said: “He hasn’t signed a new agreement, he’s gone to the Euros, there was talk of him moving to Turkey to [Galatasaray].
“I mean, Turkey still could end up being his destination if I’m totally honest. It looks to me like Alioski is putting himself in the shop window. He’s looking for that big move. He’s looking for that big payoff, a nice three/four-year contract maybe, on big wages before he retires; he’s getting to that type of age.
“Does he want to play regular first-team football? These are all things you’ve got to think about because it’s evident with our left-back chase, Gjanni Alioski is not going to be a first-teamer next season.”
Do you think that Alioski will stay at Leeds?
No, he is away
Yes, he will stay
TIF Thoughts on Alioski…
Alioski played a lot of first-team football and played the majority of his games at left-back; however, Leeds are looking for another left-back, so if he were to stay, you would think he would face some competition for a starting spot.
So with the other offers on the table, we wouldn’t be surprised if Alioski decided to leave Leeds when his contract expires.
