Journalist Graham Smyth has provided an update on Leeds target Noa Lang, as the winger continues to be linked with a move to Elland Road.

Speaking on the Inside Elland Road podcast, Smyth revealed that the future of the Dutch Under-21 international will be decided when the Under-21 European Championships conclude, revealing that Lang is a player Leeds are very much interested in.

Here’s what he had to say on the speculation:

“We know that they like Noa Lang, and you can see why – very, very exciting talent when it comes to attacking football and playing on the wing. He’s scored a lot of goals, he’s made a lot of assists. His future is likely to be decided, I’d imagine, after the European Under-21 Championships. So we’ll have to wait and see if he’s someone that Leeds do go and try and get.”

TIF Thoughts on Noa Lang moving to Leeds…

Currently playing his club football with Belgium Jupiler Pro League side Club Brugge, Lang has enjoyed a successful season as he scored 14 goals and assisted a further eight in the league, with the majority of his minutes coming from the left wing.

It’s fair to say at the young age of 21, if Leeds were to secure his signature this summer, it could seem like a fantastic bit of business, not only in the short term but also for the years in which Leeds hope to continue playing Premier League football.

Leeds enjoyed success in last year’s summer window as they secured the signature of Raphinha from Rennes for £17m. After a fantastic debut season in English football, Raphinha has reportedly attracted interest from some of England’s top clubs. If Lang can follow the same path as the Brazilian, it would make him a very worthwhile signing.
