Graham Roberts, who won two trophies during his two years at Ibrox, has exclusively told This is Futbol, that Steven Gerrard will have someone lined up to replace Alfredo Morelos if the striker was to leave this summer.

Morelos was expected to leave last summer after he requested that the club accept a bid for him from Lille, who wanted to sign the striker but a move never materialised.

Should Rangers sell Morelos?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Steven Gerrard has been blessed with attacking options this season as he has been able to call upon Morelos, Kemar Roofe and Jermain Defoe who are all-natural strikers.

Morelos has been a great servant for Rangers since he joined in 2017 having found the net 94 times in 182 appearances but his replacement could be already lined up, that is according to Roberts, who spoke exclusively to This is Futbol:

“He’s a player that was looking to leave this year so I would think that Steven Gerrard will have irons in the fire, about who to bring in if he does leave.

“He is a good player, don’t get me wrong but I’m sure Steven will have somebody up his sleeve to bring in.”

Tore André Flo is Rangers club-record signing, but how much was he bought for?

Rangers and Gerrard are still waiting to see who Celtic decide to appoint as their new manager to challenge them for the title next season.

Gerrard will want to keep the SPFL title next season as well as progress further in Europe as they were knocked out in the round of 16 by Slavia Prague.
