Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the latest name to be linked with the vacant manager role.
Spurs have already found it rather difficult to attract a name to take over from Jose Mourinho, with the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag reportedly on their shortlist but deciding to further their careers by moving to Bayern Munich and staying at AFC Ajax respectively.
Now though, a new man has been thrown into the mix, with The Transfer Window Podcast reporting (via TEAMtalk) that Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini has been contacted by the club about the possibility of taking over.
The news was relayed to Tottenham fans on Twitter by @TranSPURS, where they mentioned that his style of play, an attacking 3-4-3, as well as his ability to work with limited resources could be what attracted the club to him in the first place, and there were plenty of fans who were on board with the idea:
“Gasperini has been incredible for Atalanta and he plays arguably the best football in Europe pound for pound”
Do you think Levy should step down from Tottenham?
Yes
No
At 63 he’s certainly no spring chicken, so might not be in it for ‘the long run’. But if he can deliver success to Tottenham right away, then surely that’s all that the fans can ask for.
