A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which includes an image taken from Joe Willock’s Instagram page after the season ended on Sunday.
The 21-year-old who was on loan from Arsenal claimed that he “will never forget the love” that Toon fans showed him and that the team and city will always “hold a special place” in his heart; he then rounded off the message by saying, “goodbye”.
This has drawn the attention of these Newcastle fans who feel that they have seen the last of Willock.
“Yea he’s gone. No ambiguity at all. Big shame , crackin lad and best player in midfield this season”
“Ah well…”
“He’s compared facilities and ambition, I think. Gutted-would have loved him to stay.”
Luke Edwards claims that Toon fans shouldn’t read too much into this, and he does believe that Willock will be back on Tyneside at some point next season.
Do you think Newcastle will get Willock back?
No, that is him gone
Yes, he will come back
This post continued to draw in Toon fans who were gutted.
“The last words just broke my heart”
“That’s absolutely ruined my day”
“Gutting”
Willock made a fantastic impression in a Newcastle shirt as he scored eight Premier League goals, including seven in seven, so it is no wonder these Toon fans are gutted with this post.
