In an exclusive interview with This is Futbol, Daniel Pinder, who is editor-in-chief at Get German Football News, has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey would be a good fit for Leicester City.

The Foxes sold Demari Gray to Leverkusen in January after he was no longer in Brendan Rodgers’ plans, so they could be looking to add a new winger to their squad in the summer.

Who should Leon Bailey join?

Bailey, who has 39 goals in 156 games for Leverkusen, has been linked with a move to Manchester United but with their attention still on Jadon Sancho, the Jamaican international may look to other clubs who could offer him Champions League football.

Speaking on how he has now outgrown Bayer Leverkusen and why he deserves to be playing in the Champions League, Pinder exclusively told This is Futbol:

“Part of the reason why Bayer Leverkusen started the season so well and how they were top of the Bundesliga until they played Bayern Munich in December was down to the form of Leon Bailey.

I think he’s become too good for Bayern Leverkusen and I think he deserves Champions League football, and it’s time to move to a club like Leicester, where he could do well.”

To kick off this quiz on Leicester City's 2019/20 season, who is the only outfield player to have appeared in all 38 of the Foxes' Premier League games in the 2019/20 campaign?

There had been talks before the 2018 World Cup that Bailey could earn himself an England call up as his grandparents had English passports but neither of them were born in the country so he would not have been eligible for one.

Leverkusen are still fighting for a Champions League place as it appears to be a four-horse race for the final two spots with Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg above them.
