Former Leeds United midfielder David Norris has exclusively told This is Futbol that Ezgjan Alioski would be easily replaceable.

The Macedonia international, who’ll be hoping to feature at this summer’s European Championships, has been a regular for Leeds this season, appearing in all but two of their Premier League matches.

However, the left-back has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish giants Galatasaray and is yet to resolve his short-term future at Leeds, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.

Alioski previously said that he’d love to stay at Elland Road, but contract talks haven’t yet reached a stage where the defender will be extending his four-year stay in Yorkshire.

Should Alioski leave, it would leave Leeds with just Stuart Dallas as their only recognised left-back, with Barry Douglas also set to depart, and the ex-Whites midfielder told This is Futbol that Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping to upgrade on the 29-year-old:

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

“He’s not an out and out left-back, I think he’s done a good job there, but for Leeds the way they want to go, you will find someone better.

“The fans like him, he’s a 100 percenter, a lot of energy and heart, but maybe just not the quality and ability of the levels and standards Leeds are getting to.

“As a squad player, keep him around, but there’s better out there.”
