Celtic supporters have been reacting on Facebook after a report emerged claiming AC Milan are set to offer Diego Laxalt as part-exchange for Odsonne Edouard.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, (via the Glasgow Times), Milan are interested in signing Edouard as the France under-21 international continues to impress for the Hoops this season.
The 23-year-old has bagged 20 goals in 35 appearances for the Glasgow giants and is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract over the summer, meaning Celtic could be forced to cash in on the striker this summer or risk him leaving on a free transfer next year.
Several of the continent’s top teams have been linked with a move for Edouard, but this recent report claims the San Siro side are planning on using Laxalt as a makeweight in any potential deal after the Uruguay international established himself as Celtic’s first-choice left-back during a season-long loan.
The latest revelation led to Celtic Insider asking the club’s fans for their opinion on the proposed transfer, but it doesn’t seem as though many were sold on the idea.
