Celtic fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Leigh Griffiths and his latest performance for the club during their Scottish Cup match against Falkirk.

After picking up a point in their previous SPFL game against Rangers at Celtic Park last month, John Kennedy’s side took on League One side Falkirk in the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

During the game, Griffiths’ display, in particular, caught the attention of a lot of Hoops fans – but for all the wrong reasons, with many flocking to Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions on what they saw from Griffiths.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in regards to Griffiths’ performance during the match against Falkirk?

“Hopefully Griffiths will be away at the end of the season, looks miles off it!”

@dryden_andy

“Griffiths – not at his best!!”

@CELTICBOB1967

“Griffiths time is up at Celtic”

@bhoyski67

“Hopefully that’s Leigh Griffiths last ever game for Celtic. He’s done!”

@Bogbhoy

“Leigh Griffiths looks miles off it.”

@90MinuteCynic

“Why is Griffiths anywhere near the first team the guys miles off where he should be”

@1888JT

The attacker started the game at Celtic Park against Falkirk but was brought off during the second half to be replaced by Albian Ajeti.

Looking at these tweets from this group of Hoops fans, it’s clear that they were not happy by what they saw from Griffiths, who is currently valued at £1.35 million, and his efforts on the pitch during the showdown against Falkirk.

Moving forward, unless Griffiths can start putting in some decent performances for the club from now until the end of the season, he could well end up out of the team or even out of the club when the summer transfer window opens.
