Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report regarding the fitness of Spurs centre-forward, Harry Kane, ahead of the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Having limped off following Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Everton last week, with the 27-year-old then subsequently being left out of the Spurs squad for their 2-1 victory over Southampton, Kane appeared to be a significant doubt for the club’s Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

However, according to a recent report by The Telegraph, the England captain looks to have won his race to be fit in time for the final, with it being claimed that Tottenham are confident the striker will be part of their matchday squad.

Although, after The Spurs Web relayed this report on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be concerned with the speed at which Kane has recovered from his injury, suggesting that they would rather see the striker on the bench than starting if he is still not 100%.

So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to Harry Kane’s injury update?

“I prefer a team without Kane than a rushed-fit Kane.”

@THFCRodonStan

“Rushing him back just for him to play.”

@thfcjonas

“Hopefully he is fit. We’ll need him for all the final games too so please don’t risk further injury.”

@Spursylad10

“If he plays from the start we are repeating the mistake we made in the Champions League final.”

@spurscad

“Don’t do that. Don’t repeat what Poch did against Liverpool.”

@yusufdadinho

“Don’t know how to feel.”

@23Losty

“Advantage City. We lost.”

@EuropaThcf

“This is not a good thing. When Kane is rushed back for a mega big game and ends up playing half-fit we usually play much much worse.”

@thfc_LTHE

All in all, it would appear that, despite the fact that Kane has been by far and away Tottenham’s best performer so far this season, these Spurs fans would rather see the 27-year-old start on the bench against City Sunday if he is still not 100% fit, and considering how poorly Kane played in the Champions League final back in 2019 after rushing back from injury, it is not difficult to understand why.
