Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations at Sergio Reguilon for his second-half performance against Newcastle United.

Spurs entered the game in sixth position of the Premier League table and just three points off fourth-placed Chelsea, who occupied the last Champions League qualification spot.

Harry Kane provided Spurs with a 2-1 lead at half-time after Jose Mourinho’s men quickly fought back from behind after Joelinton put the Magpies ahead.

However, Reguilon’s second-half display was met by a frustrated response from the Spurs fans who took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.

“Reguilon looks absolutely terrible. He’s all yours @realmadriden

“What is Reguilon doing giving away needless free kick”

“Reguilon can’t defend and really hasn’t done that much going forward recently. Starting to wonder if we’ve overrated him a bit. Has potential though.”

“Reguilon having his worst game in a Spurs shirt”

Spurs signed the Spaniard from Real Madrid last summer in a deal which is believed to be worth in the region of £27m, however, it is also reported Madrid have a buy-back clause in his contract.
Reguilon had made 18 appearances for Spurs in the Premier League going into the game on Tyneside, however, the reaction of the Spurs fans would suggest he has not done himself proud in his 19th league game of the season.
