A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to criticise the first-half performance of Davinson Sanchez in their Premier League clash against Newcastle United.

Spurs went into the game knowing a win would take them into the top four following Chelsea’s humiliating defeat to West Brom on Saturday afternoon.

The Colombian defender joined the north London side in the summer of 2017 from Ajax in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £38m.

Following the 24-year-old’s first-half display, the Spurs fans did not seem impressed by the Colombian’s showing with many demanding more from him.

Prior to the game on Tyneside, Sanchez had made only 16 appearances in the Premier League this season in which he has racked up 1305 minutes of game time (via Transfermarkt).

Going off the reactions of the Spurs fans, it is evident to see they have been left frustrated by their £31.5m-rated centre-back who is far from filling them with confidence going into the second half.
