Newcastle United fans have been reacting to the performance of Sean Longstaff during their game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Steve Bruce’s men just did enough to snatch a draw against Jose Mourinho’s side, a point that could prove crucial in the fight against relegation, things certainly could have gone a lot better if players like Longstaff had put in a better performance.
Whilst he did manage to get the assist for the opening goal in the game, he didn’t really contribute much apart from that, completing less than 80% of his passes, not managing to get any of his three shots on target and failing to win a single tackle.
It was no wonder then that there were plenty of Newcastle United fans that were ready to slate him for his display online during the game:
“Longstaff is awful, his left foot is that of a Tier 10 footballing team”

Perhaps if he’d have put in a little bit more of a shift, they might have been able to get all three points.
