In an exclusive interview with This Is Futbol, Steve Bull, who made 561 appearances for Wolves, has claimed that Newcastle United have suffered the most with not having any fans in stadiums this season.

Steve Bruce’s side have struggled for consistency this season and find themselves six points and one place above the bottom three, helped by the fact they’ve picked up four points from their previous two fixtures.

Would Newcastle have performed better with fans?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Magpies have always been known for the passion their supporters have and Rob Lee recently told Football Fancast that he loved how fanatical they were during his time with the club.

Speaking on why fans make such a difference and how Newcastle have suffered the most not having their supporters inside St James’ Park, Bull told This Is Futbol:

“There’s nothing worse than when you go up to Newcastle and there’s an empty stadium because when that’s buzzing up there it’s really something. So I think out of the teams in the Premier League they’ve missed out on not having a crowd the most.

Once those fans get behind you, because I’ve heard it before from when I’ve played there, it can be really scary so I think they’ve really missed out on that.”

Easy one to get us underway, in what month during 2019 was Steve Bruce appointed Newcastle manager?

The Premier League are trying to get fans in for the last two games of the season, which would see Newcastle fans be in the ground for their game against Sheffield United.

Newcastle travel to Craven Cottage on the final day of the season which could turn out to be a relegation shoot out between the two sides.
