Leeds United fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest comments made by Whites striker Patrick Bamford about Marcelo Bielsa.

This comes after @leeds_utd_news shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Bamford to the official Leeds United Podcast about what Bielsa does in the dressing room after seeing his side win or lose games.

Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

Bamford said that there will be “a chat in the dressing room” followed by a “small debrief” and Bielsa will pat everyone on the head if the team loses.

If the team wins, Bamford revealed that Bielsa will be “buzzing,” give everyone a high-five, thank all the physios and be “really happy.”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were not shy in sharing their reactions to this news.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to Bamford’s comments about Bielsa?

“My day is better knowing this”

@lufc041201

These players would give anything for Bielsa I reckon. He’s “adopted” every single one with nought a bad thing to say about them regardless. Class above any other coach out there. You may have talent but without guidance, you’re just an ornament. #mot”

@MCMLXIV

“If making Bielsa happy post-match isn’t motivation enough I don’t know what is!”

@Mad_McGhee

“This is surprising behaviour from him, I thought he’d be like Frank sat on a throne with everyone coming up and thanking him for the victory whilst kissing his ring. Let’s hope he’s high fiving on Saturday afternoon.”

@deanoooh20

“Protect him at all costs”

@Dale__LUFC

“Marvellous!”

@AnnalKeith

“I love him so much”

@SamBirdyy

“he literally can never leave us, ever.”

@bethgabriel_

“Literally making Marcelo happy would be enough to motivate me”

@Shortieyates04

Bielsa joined Leeds back in July 2018 and has since gone on to take charge of 132 games with the Yorkshire club, winning 69, drawing 20 and losing 43 along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Leeds fans are delighted by the thought of Bielsa being happy in the dressing room after a win, which just goes to show how much these supporters admire the Argentine.

Are you confident Bielsa can get Leeds into the top half of the table by the end of the season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how Bielsa has managed to take Leeds from out of the Championship to the Premier League after a 16-year absence and up to 11th place in the league table, it’s easy to see why these supporters have so much love for Bielsa.

Moving forward, if Bielsa can end Leeds’ season in the top half of the Premier League table, this will only improve his relationship with the fans even further.
