Celtic had signed Connell from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2019 for a fee of £369k. During his time at Parkhead, he didn’t make a single first-team appearance for the Bhoys. The Irishman was on the bench for the side twice this season and his appearance against Stranraer was his first of the season in all competitions (as per Transfermarkt).

How much do you think members of the Bhoys' squad are worth according to Transfermarkt? Starting with an easy one how much do you think Odsonne Edouard is worth?

“Absolutely no surprise at all. This bhoy is a genuine talent.”

A lot of these Celtic fans are making it clear that Connell should be playing in the first-team and he shouldn’t have been loaned out in the first place.

The 19-year-old is a defensive midfielder by trade and he can also play at left-back. There are doubts about Scott Brown’s future at Parkhead and Diego Laxalt’s loan stint expires in the summer as well.

So if Connell gets some first-team experience with Queen’s Park, he could perhaps come back and add depth to the midfield for the Bhoys.
