Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has been sharing some details on what the current behind-the-scenes plans are at Celtic moving forward.

This comes after Joseph recently made an appearance on The Celtic Exchange Podcast where he spoke about a range of topics concerning the Bhoys.

How much do you think members of the Bhoys' squad are worth according to Transfermarkt? Starting with an easy one how much do you think Odsonne Edouard is worth?

On the subject of what the club owners are planning to do to help the Parkhead side move forward after losing out on the current SPFL title, Joseph had this to say on the matter.

He said: “What they are looking at is modernising the club and although they haven’t decided yet that they’re definitely going down the sporting director route, it is what’s being looked at and they’ve put feelers out already to a number of candidates.

“But they’re also looking for a manager, and this poses a bit of a problem because a sporting director and a manager need to have a good relationship and need to be a good fit for things to really work.

“Celtic are doing that in the same summer, and it’s going to be a tough one, because if you get a sporting director in, should they then have a say on who becomes manager?”

Celtic currently sit in second place in the SPFL table with 68 points after winning 20 out of their 32 played league games, drawing eight and losing four in the process (per BBC Sport).

TIF Thoughts on Anthony Joseph’s comments on Celtic’s current plans…

Back in February, Neil Lennon stepped down from his position as the club’s manager with John Kennedy taking over on a temporary basis until the end of the season.

Since Lennon left Parkhead, there have been several names mentioned in regards to becoming the new permanent manager at the club.

Given how Celtic fell so far behind Rangers at the top of the SPFL table and are currently without a permanent manager, it feels, in our view and going off what Joseph had to say in the podcast, that there will be a lot of changes happening at the club before the start of next season, on and off the pitch.
