Who did West Ham United face in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Premier League season?

One of the topics that he mentioned was Felipe Anderson and his future.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at FC Porto, but he has only made nine appearances for the club and earned a poor rating of 6.33/10 from WhoScored for his league performances.

Ex revealed what sort of fee the Hammers will be looking to get in the summer and how much they are likely to receive for Anderson, who is valued at £16.2 million (as per Transfermarkt),.

He said: “I think he hasn’t got a future at West Ham.

“I think they’ll look to sell him in the summer. I think we would try to get near £30m for him – but we wouldn’t get anywhere near that.

“I think at best, you could probably look to get maybe £10-15m maybe, and I would imagine that’s what we’ll try to do.

“I’d imagine he will end up going back to Italy or somewhere like Turkey.”

Do you think West Ham will make a loss on Anderson?

TIF Thoughts on Anderson…

West Ham signed Anderson in the summer of 2018 from Lazio for a whopping £34.2m, and in his first season, he was pretty impressive, scoring ten goals and providing five assists.

However, last season, he barely featured for the Hammers after David Moyes returned, and he was shipped off on loan last summer, but that move hasn’t worked either.

So, it looks like West Ham will make a loss on Anderson, and it is clear that Ex doesn’t see him having much of a future at the London Stadium, and we agree with him.
