Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on Twitter to the worrying sight of Harry Kane limping after the Crystal Palace game (as per Football Daily, which displays Sky Sports footage).
The England international put in a seriously impressive performance on Sunday evening, laying on two assists for Real Madrid loanee Gareth Bale before bagging a brace himself in Tottenham’s 4-1 thrashing of their London rivals.
Kane has been in incredible form throughout 2020/21, notching up 24 goals and 16 assists in all competitions, and is pivotal to how Jose Mourinho’s side play.
Therefore, the sight of the 27-year-old hobbling after coming off in the second half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium understandably caused some concern amongst some of the Spurs supporters:
“Wait, Harry Is limping here”
“Harry limping there?”
“And the amount of ppl I saw moaning when Jose took him off………..”
“Probably just needs his warm down massage…. He will start midweek”
“Just been sitting on his wallet. I get up like that all the time”
“It’s a cape”
Tottenham are currently sitting in sixth position in the Premier League standings, just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League spot. If Mourinho’s men are to close that gap and qualify for Europe’s elite cup competition then they’ll need a fully-fit Kane at their disposal.
