Leeds United supporters have been reacting on Facebook after being linked with a mega-money move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
The 24-year-old striker only moved to the West London outfit last summer in an initial £5m deal, which could eventually rise to £10m with add-ons from League One side Peterborough United.
However, he’s hit the ground running at the Brentford Community Stadium, bagging 25 goals and providing nine assists in his 33 Championship appearances, leading to speculation that the Englishman is set for a move to the Premier League over the summer.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are among the clubs reportedly interested (as per Team Talk) in the former Newcastle United man, but their fans are unsure whether he’s worth the £30m price tag.
“The problem is its from team talk. I hope its true because he would be a quality signing”
“Good player. I would take him.”
“Would love him”
Toney has had a seriously impressive season for Brentford, but whether he’s worth that sort of money in today’s market is up for debate.
