Speaking exclusively to GiveMeSport, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester City are looking for a new striker, with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland a possible target for the club this summer.

After 10 years at the Etihad, Sergio Aguero has announced that he will be leaving the Premier League outfit at the end of the season.

It leaves Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola needing to dip into the transfer market to bring in a successor for the club legend, and that successor could be Haaland.

Should Haaland be City's number one transfer target this summer?

Discussing the possibility of the Citizens moving for the 20-year-old Norway international, Romano told GMS:

Manchester City are looking for a striker, 100%. Chelsea are looking for a striker, too, so keep an eye on Chelsea, keep an eye on Manchester City, always on Manchester United.”

This season, Haaland has managed to score 21 goals in as many Bundesliga appearances, while his Champions League record is just as impressive if not more.

The former RB Salzburg man has found the back of the net 10 times from just six games in Europe’s elite competition, making it no surprise that the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea are desperate to grab his signature.
