Many Leeds United fans have been talking about the latest tweet from Phil Hay that recently emerged on social media.
Hay recently tweeted about a news involving Leeds star Tyler Roberts. The Welshman is one of the three players sent home by the national team after they breached disciplinary rules.
The journalist tweeted an article from The Athletic, which stated that Roberts was one of the players caught out of his bed beyond the team’s curfew hours. Rabbi Matondo and Hal Robson-Kanu are the other two players to have done the same.
Will Bielsa drop Tyler Roberts?
Yes
No
Hay’s tweet about Roberts drew the attention of many Leeds fans, who made their views clear about the Welshman.
What did Leeds fans make of Hay’s tweet?
“If he’s willing to behave like that for country then he’d obviously do the same for club. Underperforming last two seasons and now no discipline. Summer transfer listed surely.“
“Imagine Marcelo quietly shaking his head in disappointment before turning and walking away. Not a word uttered. Much more devastating than Ferguson’s hairdryer.“
The article from The Athletic has stated that while it is unaware if Roberts and his teammates broke any protocols regarding the virus, but the failure to respect the curfew timings has been seen as a serious issue by the national team.
A lot of these Leeds fans are unhappy about Roberts breaching the curfew rules and some believe that Marcelo Bielsa won’t be happy with this.
Having said that, Roberts has been regularly involved in the club’s first since February, playing the full 90 minutes in the last two games and starting multiple times during this period. He has also picked up a couple of assists (as per Transfermarkt).
Considering that he’s a regular part of the side now more than he was before, it might be tough for Bielsa to drop him.
