Celtic fans have been responding to a post from the club account regarding their goalkeeping coach Steve Woods.

Today marks Woods’ 51st birthday, and the club dedicated a small post to him on their Twitter feed. The coach is certainly something of a veteran at Celtic Park, having first joined the club back in 2007, so he’s certainly seen a lot of success and a lot of trophies come through the doors during that time.

As you might expect, there were plenty of fans who used the opportunity of the club posting a tweet to take shots at the club after what has been a disastrous season for them both on the pitch as well as off it. But amongst that, there were still a few fans that wanted to praise Woods for the work he has done for the club, with one even suggesting that he might be able to help them if he took on a job slightly higher up:

“Another who would be better than Lennon.”

“Best goalie coach in world football being ruined by Lennon”
“The only member of the current coaching staff worth their salt.”
“Likely the only coach I’d keep at Celtic”
“Probably the only guy that we’ll accept staying Even if the goalkeeper situation is really bad right now”
“Cracking coach tbh probs only good one we have”

Should Celtic move on from Barkas in the summer?
