Kevin Graham has been speaking on the latest edition of the A Celtic State of Mind podcast about all things relating to Celtic.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was Shane Duffy after the man on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion made a horrendous error for one of St Mirren’s goals at the weekend.

Duffy has really struggled at Celtic Park, despite claims that he would be an amazing signing for the Bhoys.

While his average rating of 7.36/10 (as per WhoScored) is strong and ranks him fifth in Celtic’s squad, he has had issues and has struggled at times.

Speaking before Celtic’s win over Kilmarnock – for which the Irishman was an unused substitute – Graham made a rather unflattering comparison to Duffy in his short rant about the 29-year-old.

He said: “Shane Duffy always has the look of a man who’s running the London Marathon in a Tyrannosaurus Rex suit, doesn’t it.

“Watching it on Saturday, and you’ve got Stephen McManus and Gary Caldwell in the studio. They must have been looking at each other as if to go ‘we were hated for far less. We got more abuse for far less than what’s happening out there just now.'”

TIF Thoughts on Graham’s view on Duffy…

The former Blackburn Rovers man has been guilty of some pretty poor moments in a Celtic shirt this season, with journalist Tom English highlighting a ‘catalogue of catastrophic mistakes‘, while he described his latest mistake as ‘shocking’.

So, you can see why Graham has slated him; however, the comparison does seem a little bit harsh.

Either way, though, it is hard to argue that Duffy has lived up to expectations and it is no wonder that Graham seems to have had enough of the Republic of Ireland international.
