Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Alasdair Gold relayed Jose Mourinho’s comments regarding the current fitness of Spurs forward, Gareth Bale.

Having been an unused substitute for Tottenham’s 2-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, Bale was then left out of Jose Mourinho’s matchday squad to face Everton in the FA Cup on Wednesday evening.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

And, speaking in his post-match press conference after the 5-4 AET loss to the Toffees, the 58-year-old revealed his shock at Bale’s desire for “wanting to have a scan” on a muscular area in which the 31-year-old “was not comfortable” on Monday.

Mourinho then claimed that the £18 million-rated winger’s desire was to “work with the sports science [department] for a couple of days” in order to “strengthen that area where he’s not feeling comfortable” – which resulted in Bale missing the trip to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

And, after Gold relayed the comments of the Spurs boss on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many left furious with the actions of Bale.
