Speaking recently on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano discussed the future of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli amid continued interest.

With Paris Saint-Germain having tried and failed to secure a deal that would see Alli make a loan move to Ligue 1 in both the summer and winter transfer windows, Jose Mourinho – who has awarded the £25 million-rated 24-year-old just 100 minutes of Premier League football this season – recently claimed that he and the England international had put their differences aside, and that the 58-year-old needed the midfielder in his team.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

However, speaking on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, Romano claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not given up in their pursuit of Alli, and are preparing to make yet another approach for the 24-year-old this summer.

He said: “Dele Alli – we can say that he was really close to joining Paris Saint-Germain in January. But, he still on the list of Mauricio Pochettino. This Dele Alli deal was also affecting something between Mourinho and Daniel Levy and Tottenham people. But we can add, in this moment, that PSG still have Alli on their list as a potential target for next summer. So, keep an eye on Dele Alli.”

TIF Thoughts on Fabrizio Romano’s comments regarding Dele Alli’s future…

Despite Mourinho’s claim that he would like to reinstall Alli into his Tottenham side, the Portuguese boss only afforded the midfielder 26 minutes of game time in the club’s recent loss to Manchester City, however, the 24-year-old was making a return from injury.

Although, considering the fact that a recent report has claimed Tottenham are prepared to sell one of their star players this summer – in an attempt to balance their books due to the financial impact of the global pandemic – perhaps Alli could be the ideal candidate for Spurs to cash in on.
