Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claimed the Magpies have been offered the chance to sign Daniel Sturridge.
According to the report by 90min, Newcastle have been offered the former Liverpool centre-forward, who has been without a club since March of last year, on a deal which would run until the end of the season.
The report mentions that the Magpies’ Premier League relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United have both been in contact with the 31-year-old, however, the player’s intermediaries have sought out Newcastle as a potential destination for the England international.
And, after The Chronicle relayed this report on Twitter, fans of Newcastle flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be delighted at the prospect of their club making a move for Sturridge.
Should Newcastle sign Sturridge?
So, what exactly did these Newcastle United fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding Daniel Sturridge?
“Snap him up we need a striker.”
“Simple no brainer cracking player when kept fit.”
“I’d take him.”
“If it’s possible we must go for it.”
“We should be all over that.”
“Get on this.”
All in all, it would appear that these Newcastle United fans would be all for their club making a move to sign Sturridge, and, considering the fact that current star Newcastle striker, Callum Wilson, has recently been sidelined for around eight weeks due to injury, it is not difficult to see why.
