Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa.

This comes after Get French Football News shared a post on their page revealing that Bielsa is in court suing French club LOSC Lille for a fee of €19 million (£16.6 million) for severance pay that he believes he is owed after being sacked by the club back in 2017.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this news.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this post regarding Bielsa?

“Get the PowerPoint out gaffer & take them to the cleaners”

@BenTorode4

“Bielsa is a man of great principle, he must feel Lille broke the contract and their reasons were false. He’s not a greedy man so the money if he won would go to his good causes. Can see why it takes months to sort out each contract with Leeds”

@Loop147Loop

“He really must feel aggrieved if he’s sueing, into em my king”

@bethgabriel_

Some Leeds fans were suggesting that Bielsa will use some of the money he could get from Lille to try and sign Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, who the club were linked to last summer.

“Bielsa throw 5 mill of that towards RDP would you you beaut x”

@Ronan1919

“19m towards De Paul”

@L33W1919

“Would go nicely towards RDP that”

@LUFCPeachey

Do you think Leeds should try and sign De Paul again?

Bielsa joined Lille as their manager back in July 2017 before leaving the club in November, taking charge of 14 games in total, winning four, drawing three and losing seven (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Leeds fans are hopeful Bielsa can get this money from the French club in his court case, with some hoping to see the money used to help secure the signing of De Paul, which just goes to show how much these fans want the midfielder to join the club.
