Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed footage of Leeds United U23 forward Joe Gelhardt in action for the youth side.

In the clip, Geldhardt, who joined Leeds from Wigan Athletic in what was a £900k deal back in August of last year, scores a rather spectacular curling shot from the edge of the Middlesbrough penalty area to give his side a four-goal lead in the first half of the fixture.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

Prior to Sunday’s clash against Boro, the 18-year-old centre-forward had already highly impressed for the Leeds U23 side, scoring five goals and providing one assist over his 10 Premier League 2 fixtures.

And, after the club shared the footage of Geldhardt’s goal on Twitter, fans of Leeds flocked to have their say on the matter, with many heaping considerable amounts of praise on the young striker.

All in all, it would appear that these Leeds fans are delighted with the progress Gelhardt is making in their U23 side, with some already dubbing the 18-year-old as a serious baller, while others have called for Marcelo Bielsa to integrate the centre-forward into his first-team plans, which could be a decent option as the club still seem heavily reliant on Patrick Bamford up front.
